Continuation of earlier … Had I thought of it I would have included this video for her birthday celebration. A li’l more sexually explicit than is appropriate for my dear friend and colleague, but “whatevs.” Happy Birthday, Lady of … Continue reading
OK, so … Happy Birthday to a dear friend. She wants to be a “fag hag,” but she doesn’t know what vogueing is. *sigh* LOL.
We will love you always. You brought joy, frustration, and lots of love to our home. You were a trouble-maker, a pooty-treat guarder, and a sweet little girl. Your first guardian ditched you and Reeve took you in. He saved you from the needle nearly twelve years ago. And then you came into my life.
We couldn’t save you last night. To keep you alive would have been unkind. Sometimes doing the compassionate thing is the most difficult act someone who loves someone else can make. We had to let you go.
Sasha was no “it.” She, like all animals, was someone.
And boy was she ever someone! Continue reading

Check out this video made of kids watching video footage of gay marriage proposals and then being interviewed about the topic. Funny thing is I first caught sight of this video on a homophobic blogger’s site where he (or she or “whatev,” let’s just call this person Hateful) … so Hateful was expressing how “dumb” kids are in California and bemoaning the fall of Christian civilization because dudes are marrying dudes and gals are marrying gals. Sounds as though Hateful is either a self-loathing bully or living in rural nowhere and hasn’t met the friendly local gays who are all around him and he doesn’t know it. Or, I mean, we have haters much like Hateful in cities, too, so then “there’s that.”

Thanks to everyone in Illinois who stood up for marriage equality. It’s been a long time coming. Let’s see this bill signed into law and put into action. Three Cheers for Illinois!
We will all die. Some of us know how sudden and unexpected that can be. I encourage you all to review OutJustice’s Life Planning program in its entirety (it’s not long, folks). Having a living will or other durable power … Continue reading
